Lamb Burgers (Low Carb and Paleo)

Lamb Burgers_Low Carb

Back when I was doing my Whole30, I decided to try lamb for the first time.  I had read that ground lamb was good for beginners that aren’t used to the flavor of lamb.  I ended up making Lamb Burgers and I was pleasantly surprised that the burgers were full of flavor, moist, and delicious.  I will definitely be trying more recipes with lamb….I’m thinking Lamb Chops or Rack of Lamb.

What’s your favorite lamb dish?  I’d love to hear about it in the comments below. :)

Lamb Burgers (Low Carb and Paleo)

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 Tbsp minced rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp chopped oregano
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Combine all of the spices and add it to the ground lamb.
  2. Form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Sear for 4-5 minutes per side or until the burger is cooked through.

Served on a roasted portabella mushroom cap and topped with red onion and cucumber slaw.
