My latest cooking adventure was Low Carb Grilled Spiced Salmon. As requested, I’ve been looking at expanding my fish horizons. Tilapia is my go to fish when I’m cooking at home because of its mild flavor and it is easy to work with. I only recently, within the last 2 years, started eating fish and the only seafood I ate before was shrimp. When starting back with low carb that made my dinner choices pretty slim during the Lenten season, especially since I stopped eating pizza (well the non-low carb variety). I have been eating salmon for a little while now, but I usually just season it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and then roast or pan sear it…not exactly blog worthy. I decided to try something new!
1/4 cup mayo
1.5 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp lemon zest
Juice of half a lemon
Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and oil as necessary to prevent sticking.
Combine all the ingredients except for the salmon. Spread a thin layer over all sides of the salmon.
Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 mins. per side or until cooked through.
